Cleaning safety.

Even when you are cleaning your devices you still need to take caution. Follow the procedures on this knowledge, and be aware of what you are doing. Failure to do so can damage your devices or harm yourself. 

 

Battery Cleaning

  • Always make sure you turn your battery or or remove the battery before cleaning. 
  • Be careful not to flood your automatic batteries. If you do flood your battery please follow the Cleaning a flooded battery article. 
  • Make sure your battery is dry before trying to use it any moisture can damage the battery. 
  • Follow the instructions posted in this Knowledge Base failure to do so can damage your battery or harm yourself. 

 

Heating Element Cleaning

  • Make sure not to over heat your water when cleaning your heating elements. You can damage the heating element or burn yourself. Also if using distilled water make sure not to superheat it. 
  • Always remove the heating element from the battery before cleaning. (only clean a heating element on a battery if you are dry burning)
  • Make sure your heating element is dry before trying to use it any moisture can damage the heating element.

Charger Cleaning

  • Always unplug the charger and remove the battery before cleaning.
